Scenario: Create user that access target module/content in AutoCount.


The procedures to generate the above scenario are as follow:


Step 1:

Select 'General Maintenance' from Module List , then choose 'User Maintenance'.


Step 2:

The User Maintenance page will appear when you click on it.

Click on 'Add New User' to create new user(s).

 

Step 3: 

Create a new user by filling in the field as highlighted from below picture. Then click on 'Save' to generate a new user.

(You may customize your own password for that user)


Step 4:

 A new user now appear from User List.


Step 5: 

Click on 'Access Rights' to set the rights to access the content/operation for all users.


Step 6:

When you click on '+' icon beside AutoCount Accounting all the modules within it will be expanded out as below.


Step 7:

Highlight the modules If you wish to allow the new user you have created to have full or partial access/operation rights on certain module (eg. all modules in General Ledger), then select 'Set Group Access Rights' button.

When you click on 'Don't Change' button from select list, there are three options given.

Select Add to allow target user to have rights to access the target module.

Select Remove to restrict the target user to access the target module.

Select Don't Change if you do not want to change access right for target user.

After you have done the changes, click on OK. A message will prompt out asking you that 'apply this settings to all sub commands?'. Click Yes if you agree the changes.



Step 8: 

The target user now have rights to access ALL content from target modules (eg. all contents in General Ledger as demonstrated).



PARTIAL ACCESS RIGHTS ON TARGET MODULES

Scenario: Set target user that can access only some of the contents on target module.


Step 1: 

Select the content you wish the target user not to have rights to operate/access on it.


Step 2: 

Un-check the target user. Once you have done changes click on 'Apply'.


Step 3:

The target user now cannot perform the target action (eg. Delete Cash Transaction).


When target user try to access the company info via AutoCount (login as USER) he/she can only access some modules/operations (General Ledger as set above). In addition, as target user was prohibited from accessing target operations (eg. Delete Cash Transaction) a message 'Access Denied' appear when target user attempt to do this.
